We have developed this website to provide general information about our firm and the kinds of legal matters for which we undertake to represent clients.

For that reason, nothing on this site should be taken as legal advice. You should never act upon this general information without seeking legal counsel specific to your situation. Although this site may be considered an advertisement for legal services, it is not a solicitation of any particular case, and it is not individually directed at any person whom we know to be in need of legal services.

You should not provide us with confidential information, through or in connection with this site or otherwise, until an attorney-client relationship has been established. No attorney-client relationship is established without a direct, two-way person-to-person communication, such as with a face-to-face meeting, a telephone call, or an exchange of e-mails, during which we agree to accept representation for your matter. Regardless of the establishment of an attorney-client relationship, you should take great care to ensure that your communications with us and others on confidential or sensitive matters are conducted securely, especially when you communicate through insecure means such as e-mail or via the Internet. We cannot be responsible for misdirected communications.

The attorneys whose services are identified on this site are licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina, unless otherwise indicated. As such, our activities are governed by the ethical rules promulgated by the North Carolina State Bar. Nothing on this site should be construed as an offer to engage in any activity which constitutes the unauthorized practice of law in the jurisdiction where the activity is undertaken.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us.

Most matters regarding the privacy of clients and others who use this site to obtain information about the Firm or to communicate with us are governed by the North Carolina Revised Rules of Professional Conduct. Where an attorney-client relationship has been established, we are bound to hold all client matters in confidence unless disclosure is required or permitted by those rules, and to disclose information about those matters only under specific circumstances due to which the attorney-client privilege has been waived or deemed unenforceable.

In most cases, we will endeavor to maintain in confidence other information we obtain during the ordinary course of business, even if the ethical rules do not require that confidence.

We do maintain certain records of most information we obtain, both related and unreleated to our representation or prospective representation of clients. We guard these records, whether physical or electronic, through procedures that are consistent with our professional standards.

If you have questions about our privacy policy, especially as applied to any information that you may convey or wish to convey to us, please contact us for further instructions and information.
